The smooth design of present day soul singer Donnie is related to such other similar sounding artists simply because Macy Gray, Jill Scott, Seal, and Maxwell. Delivered in Lexington, Kentucky through the middle ’70s, Donnie grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and originated from a very spiritual family members (both of his parents had been ministers). Singing to get a choir young, Donnie soon extended his musical horizons, as he became inspired similarly by such gospel performers as Walter Hawkins and Mahalia Jackson plus such spirit/R n’ B experts as Stevie Question, Marvin Gaye, and Aretha Franklin. By the first 21st hundred years, Donnie was agreed upon to the Large Stage label, and issuing such singles and EP’s as Vacation, Masterplan, HAVE YOU ANY IDEA?, Excerpts from your Coloured Section, and Our New Country wide Anthem. The singer’s expected full-length debut, the Coloured Section, premiered in November 2002 and finally found for launch by Motown. The Daily Information, a far more ambitious album, adopted for Soul Believed in 2007.
