An Irish singer and musician who initial turned minds in 2011 with her debut album Celtic Female, Vol. 1, Donna Taggart’s liquid tone of voice and comforting interpretations of traditional Celtic ballads and country-folk music have drawn evaluations to performers like Mary Dark, Eva Cassidy, and Alison Krauss. Centered out of Omagh, Region Tyrone, North Ireland, Taggart’s recognition soared in 2016 when her rendition of American country-gospel vocalist/songwriter Jenn Bostic’s “Jealous from the Angels,” which made an appearance on 2013’s Celtic Woman, Vol. 2, became a global hit.
