Don Lennon

Biography

Within the early/mid-1990s, Don Lennon offered as lead singer of Boston’s The Umpteens, who released three cassettes and something single throughout their brief tenure. Lennon proceeded to go single in 1997, using the launch of Maniac on Martin Phillips Information. The disk was documented at Studio room 7 with maker Sean Drinkwater. Instantly, his deadpan, simple delivery elevated eyebrows in indie pop and indie rock and roll circles. His quirky songwriting quickly drew evaluations to Jonathan Richman as well as the Speaking Heads. Right away, Lennon documented and performed with a number of musicians, including several drummers, bassists, violinists and saxophonists. He released the self-titled follow-up, Don Lennon, in 1999, once again on Martin Phillips. The recording was documented at Zippah Studios with maker of Pete Weiss. 2002 noticed the discharge of Downtown on Indiana’s Secretly Canadian Information. Downtown was a dramatic departure from his earlier two produces, and was documented at Zippah, once again with Weiss. Lennon also developed the music for the soundtracks of three Gary Knight movies: How exactly to Lower Wedding cake, Concord, Mass and Knock In on Kevin’s Door. In nov 2002, Lennon came back to the studio room to focus on his fourth single disc.
