An Italian composer and virtuostic dual bass participant who spent 50 many years of his life in London. By age 13 he was the process bass player on the Opera Buffa in Venice and was referred to as having tamed the ferocity of his device. His bass viol was over-sized with three strings. Dragonetti journeyed to London playing on the Haymarket theatre, Vienna where he fulfilled Haydn, Beethoven and Sechter and back again to England once more. It had been reported that he performed Beethoven’s Cello Sonata using the composer who embraced Dragoni following the arranged. He also became familiar with Paganini, Spohr, Hummel, Liszt and Rossini. The compositional retinue of Dragonetti included 30 string quintets with dual bass, duets, tunes, dual bass concertos and dual bass items for solo device and with piano accompaniment.
