Stemming partly from Chicago’s beloved alt-country sextet the Waco Brothers, Dollar Shop comfortably match the united states genre, but are a classic rock-band through and through. Buck Store are made up of the Waco Brothers’ tempo section (bassist Alan Doughty and drummer Joe Camarillo) aswell as co-Waco Brothers frontman Dean Schlabowske, guitarist Dave Alvin from your Blasters, and pedal metal big-shot Jon Rauhouse. Buck Store obtained acclaim after satisfying shows at Austin’s South by Southwest event as well as the 2003 CMJ Music Marathon in NEW YORK. In 2004, the group released its self-titled debut, that was fulfilled with some criticism compared to Schlabowske’s use the Waco Brothers, on Bloodshot Information. A second work, Money Music, made an appearance through the same label in 2007.
