Perhaps one of the most unique Uk bands from the 1970s, Doggeral Loan company set what of poet William Bealby-Wright for an art-rock melange of harmonium, violin, viola, harp, mandolin, piano, body organ, concertina, mini moog, guitar, drums and percussion composed by ex – Uk poet lauriat Jim Betjeman. Although they released two groundbreaking albums, Sterling silver Encounter and Mister Skillicorn Dances, neither premiered outside of Britain as well as the group disbanded. Susan Baker, who performed harmonium, mandolin and violin for Doggeral Loan company from 1973 until 1975, continued to perform for the soundtrack from the Who’s Tommy.
