Dobie

A London-based producer that has collaborated with famous brands Massive Strike, Tricky, Björk, and Spirit II Spirit, Anthony Alexander Campbell is way better recognized to music supporters by his moniker Dobie. He started his profession in 1989, focusing on NSO Drive Organization monitors for the genre-spanning label Vinyl fabric Solution. Equally conscious and deeply in love with both hip-hop and underground dance music, Dobie was an all natural for the Spirit II Spirit corporation, who’s co-leader Jazzie B recruited the youthful beatmaker to scuff and produce paths for the group’s 1989 debut, Golf club Classics, Vol. 1. Through Spirit II Spirit, Dobie fulfilled fellow maker Howie B., and became a member of his task Nomad Spirit, who authorized with Isle in 1991. In 1995, he’d launch his single career using the Dobie EP on Howie B.’s Pussyfoot record label. The EP presented regular collaborator Rodney P., and was adopted in 1998 from the debut recording The Sound of 1 Hands Clapping. After Pussyfoot shut its doorways, the BBE label would reissue a remixed release of the recording, dubbed The Audio of One Hands Clapping Edition 2.5, in 2005. THE BEST Dada label released his established sophomore work, We WON’T Damage You, in 2013.
