DJ Icey

DJ Icey’s breakbeat funk helped jump-start the increasingly fertile dance picture around Orlando, FL, through the ’90s. Given birth to and elevated in sunlight State, Icey 1st experienced music via early-’80s synth pop, commercial, and hip-hop. The growth in golf club music through the past due ’80s connected him aswell, so when he started DJing early in the ’90s, he generally played out acidity house and cool breaks. He obtained a residency in the Edge, among Orlando’s seminal night clubs, and soon started playing further afield because of the burgeoning U.S. dance underground.
