Dizzy Reece

Dizzy Reece is definitely an excellent hard bop trumpeter that has been overshadowed from the innovators from the design. He began on trumpet when he was 14 and shifted to European countries in 1949. It had been while he was located in Britain (1954-1959) that he accomplished some reputation through some recordings with best English musicians, and also a 1958 day with Donald Byrd. He shifted to NY in 1959 but, following a few significant recordings along with a bit of promotion, Reece appeared to largely fade despite remaining energetic. He was using the Dizzy Gillespie’s orchestra in 1968 as well as the Paris Reunion Music group in 1985.
