Guitarist David U. and bass-player Dora Jahr initial performed as Distorted Pony in 1986. They afterwards added drummer Theodore Jackson and noise-guitarist Robert Hammer. Steve Albini documented their two albums of angst-metal, Abuse (1992) and Quick Winner (1994).
