In 2006, a set of Toronto transplants remaining SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA hard rock outfit Parchman Plantation to create their personal band. The duo — Allyson Baker and Carson Binks — known as themselves Dirty Spirits. Crafting a mixture of ’80s fresh influx and punk (by using Baker’s ex-husband, Aesop Rock and roll), their gritty, lo-fi, male-female powerful drew evaluations to contemporaries Sleigh Bells as well as the Kills, but sounded far more like fellow San Franciscans Chromium.
