Boston rockers Dirt Retailers were formed in March of 1992 from the guitar-drums sibling duo of Mike and John Malone. Enlisting Maria Christopher on vocals along with a university friend of Mike’s on bass, Alex Kisch, Dirt Retailers released a debut solitary soon thereafter, “Mindfuck” b/w “Avoid Doggie,” released in 1993 independently V-Hold label. Another solitary was released in 1994, “Crimson Barrel” b/w “Like Apnea,” producing the quartet among Boston’s fastest increasing rockers around the picture (earning radio train station WBCN’s Rock and roll ‘n’ Move Rumble exactly the same 12 months). By 1995, the group was authorized to the brand new York impartial label No Hour, issuing their debut full-length in Apr of the same 12 months, entitled Scarified. The recording attracted the eye of Epic, who authorized the music group and reissued the recording in Feb of 1996.
