Perhaps one of the most versatile modern saxophonists is without a doubt Dino Govoni. Govoni discovered from two tenor sax greats, Jerry Bergonzi and George Garzone, and furthered his tests by attending the faculty of Music immediately after. Govoni strike the road immediately with a number of musical clothes, playing and/or saving with such different performers as Grover Washington Jr., Randy Brecker, Terence Trent D’Arby, Robben Ford, Mel Tormé, the Manhattan Transfer, the Boston Pops, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, the John Allmark Jazz Orchestra, Frankie Valli, and Englebert Humperdinck, amongst others. Might of 2000 noticed Govoni taking part in Arista Information’ star-studded 25th anniversary concert, using Aretha Franklin in NEW YORK. A year afterwards, Govoni released his debut record, Breakin’ Out, over the Whaling Town Sound label. Furthermore to his shows, Govoni happens to be over the faculty at Berklee University of Music (as an helper teacher of woodwinds) and shows students privately, aswell.
