One of the most prolific manufacturers in jungle music — with information on over 10 brands strong, two of these his own — Dillinja is among the few drum’n’bass performers who spends additional time in the creation studio room than in night clubs. While surviving in Brixton in the first ’90s, he became tipped to jungle by DJ Bryan G, who resided nearby from him. Captivated by the audio of drum’n’bass, Dillinja started documenting in 1991, launching paths on Cybotron, Intelligent IQ, Conqueror, Reasoning, Lionheart, V, Philly Blunt, and his very own Deadly Vinyl fabric label. In 1994, he documented “The Angels Fell” for Goldie’s Metalheadz label and became among the most popular brands in jungle. Along with his friend Lemon D. (who in addition has documented for Metalheadz), Dillinja shaped Valve Information, a label that extended the drum’n’bass visual to include components of historic analogue sequences. Though he agreed upon to the main label London to get a long-term contract, a well planned LP was slipped and he continuing creating multiple singles for the Check label during 1998-99.
