Diez & Bischof

Former associates of early-’70s German progressive rock-band Emergency, guitarist Franc Diez and vocalist Peter Bischof continued to briefly collaborate as Diez & Bischof following group’s divided in 1975. Although their initial record, Daybreak, was solidly occur the jazz-influenced rock and roll custom of its forerunner, the album didn’t generate much interest and Diez & Bischof separated. While Bischof faded into obscurity, carrying out a short cooperation with Curt Cress, Diez continued to be active. Furthermore to developing a music group, Ihre Kinder (“YOUR KIDS”), with Klaus Kinski, he caused guitarist Peter Maffay, since 1974, and with ex-Alexis Korner bassist Colin Hodkinson, since 1979. In the past due ’70s, he caused Eric Burdon as an instrumentalist and manufacturer. Releasing a single record, Stranded on Illusion Isle, in 2001, Diez toured with guitarist Alex Conti.
