Alternate rock duo Diet Cig have an enthusiastic sense of fun, whilst delivering relatable, heartfelt tunes on the subject of youth, love, and life. Vocalist/guitarist Alex Luciano fulfilled drummer Noah Bowman in 2014, throughout a party within the campus of Condition University of NY at New Platz; Bowman was mid-performance along with his music group, Earl Boykins, when Luciano contacted him requesting a lighter. The set quickly strike it off and, eventually, started producing music collectively. Luciano already experienced several songs all set, albeit in acoustic format; Bowman recommended switching to guitar — for all intents and reasons it might be Luciano’s 1st electric encounter — and adding drums. Through the summer season of 2014, Bowman experienced moved along with audio engineer Chris Daly (Porches, Quarterbacks), enabling the speedy documenting of their debut EP, Over Easy. Looking for a platform release a the record, Dean Engle (frontman for Quarterbacks) offered the recordings to Jessi Frick (label mind at Dad/Child), resulting in the discharge of Over Easy in Feb 2015; the EP was received with glowing positivity, increasing the duo’s account considerably. Diet plan Cig toured nearly non-stop throughout 2015 and 2016, including displays all around the U.S. and European countries, only pausing release a a double-sided solitary, Sleep Talk, also to start focus on their debut recording.
