Die! Die! Die!

Originally hailing from Dunedin, Fresh Zealand, and located in that indie hotbed (the center from the Kiwi pop scene because the start of Flying Nun Records within the ’80s), Pass away! Die! Die! are an abrasive sound pop trio with hardcore punk origins, mainly because befits their rather antisocial name. Nevertheless, while vocalist and guitarist Andrew Wilson’s ranting vocal design and dissonant, slashing acoustic guitar parts sound straight influenced by Big Dark (whose innovator, Steve Albini, documented their self-titled debut) and the brand new York no influx bands from the past due ’70s, the ultra-tight tempo portion of bassist Lachlan Anderson (who changed initial bassist Henry Oliver) and drummer Michael Prain originates from the danceable neo-funk custom of Gang of Four and A PARTICULAR Ratio. These debut recording, Die! Die! Die!, premiered in New Zealand in nov 2006, followed soon thereafter by way of a four-track EP of most new materials, Locust Weeks. Die! Die! Die! premiered around the SAF label in america in early 2007.
