Didley Squat

A Sacramento, CA, four-piece who play brand-new wave-influenced pop with an edgy, energetic, but tuneful attack, Didley Squat was formed in 2002, when a lot of the group’s associates were still in senior high school (and were honor learners, as befits their nerdy picture). Getting started by playing several quantities at a Sacramento coffeehouse’s open up mic evening, manic vocalist David Mohr (who also styles the group’s images), classically educated keyboardist Stuart Nishiyama, guitarist Jacob Barcena, and drummer Casey Adam quickly created a loyal regional following and documented a self-released record, Break Dance Party Massacre, which made an appearance a couple of months after the music group was founded. An EP, The Cloudy Stem Taster, implemented in 2003, as well as the group gained the attention from the Sacramento-based 3rd party label The People in america Are Arriving Recordings, which authorized on to spread Didley Squat’s second full-length recording, The Smile Package, in 2004. Another EP, Burning up Alive, Earning money made an appearance in 2005, the same yr Didley Squat was called Best Pop Music group from the Sacramento Information & Review; the music group would earn the honor once again in 2006. Didley Squat continuing to play regularly around California, accumulating materials for his or her third album, that they prepared to record and launch in 2007.
