Dick Hyman

An extremely versatile virtuoso, Dick Hyman once recorded an album which he played “A KID EXISTS” within the varieties of 11 different pianists, from Scott Joplin to Cecil Taylor. Hyman can obviously play anything he really wants to, and because the ’70s, he provides mostly focused on pre-bop golf swing and stride designs. Hyman caused Crimson Norvo (1949-1950) and Benny Goodman (1950), and spent a lot of the 1950s and ’60s being a studio room musician. He shows up on the main one known audio film of Charlie Parker (Sizzling hot Home from 1952); documented honky tonk under pseudonyms; performed body organ and early synthesizers furthermore to piano; was Arthur Godfrey’s music movie director (1959-1962); collaborated with Leonard Feather on some Background of Jazz concerts (doubling on clarinet), and also performed rock and roll and free of charge jazz; but all this was a prelude to his afterwards function. In the 1970s, Hyman used the brand new York Jazz Repertory Firm, formed an ideal Jazz Repertory Quintet (1976), and began composing soundtracks for Woody Allen movies. He offers recorded frequently in the past many decades (occasionally in duets with Ruby Braff) for Concord, Music Experts, and Research, among other brands, and ranks near the top of the traditional jazz field. In 2013, Hyman teamed up with vocalist Heather Masse for a couple of standards for the Red Home label known as Lock My Center.
