Diane Dufresne

A favorite French-language performer having a profession that extended to almost five years, Diane Dufresne studied tone of voice and art in Paris before time for Montreal (her birthplace, given birth to Sept of 1944) to start out her profession in music. Her debut in Montreal, in 1969’s Clemence Desrochers’ Les Ladies, resulted in a cooperation with composer Francois Cousineau and lyricist Luc Plamondon (the second option which would last through the majority of her profession). Dufresne released her debut recording in 1972, adopted with quick second in 1973.
