Melodic ’90s-influenced rock-band Gemstone Youth formed this year 2010 around vocalist/guitarist Justin Gilman, guitarist Sam Trapkin, bassist Daniel Fang, and drummer Brendan Yates. With bandmates located in many metropolitan areas including Baltimore, Chicago, and LA, the quartet documented a lot of their music online via iChat and using GarageBand. Beneath the moniker Gemstone, the music group released its debut EP, Don’t Lose Your Great, in 2011. In 2013, the recently christened Gemstone Youth came back with another EP, Orange, accompanied by the Tremble EP in early 2014.
