Di-Rect

A Dutch pop/rock and roll music group formed in 1998, Di-Rect sang their music in British and could actually score an archive deal because of prominent DJ Rob Stenders in 2000. The demonstration the then-teenage group got documented also included what will be their 1st single, “Simply the Way I REALLY DO,” and was effective enough to greatly help guidebook their debut recording, Discover, in to the graphs. People Tim Akkerman (vocals and acoustic guitar), Bas vehicle Wageningen (bass), Jamie Westland (drums), and French vehicle Zoest (guitars) released their second recording, On the Moon in 2003; it had been accompanied by 2005’s All Systems Proceed and several festival appearances, specifically the popular PinkPop Event. 2005 also discovered the band striking American soil because they participated within an MTV actuality show entitled Street Rally. Their 4th recording, Di-Rect, was a mellower rock and roll affair than their earlier bouncy pop-punk sound. In ’09 2009, Akkerman announced he was departing the music group, and Di-Rect made an appearance in a tv series to select his successor, ultimately revealed as Marcel Veenendaal. His 1st album using the group, 2010’s THAT IS Who We Are, debuted in the Dutch TOP, as do 2011’s Period Will Heal Our Senses. Daydreams within a Blackout, released in the springtime of 2014, was documented completely in the band’s very own studio.
