Devin’s great, rowdy guitar rock and roll makes a link between ’70s Detroit rock and roll & move and ’50s Memphis rockabilly. In ’09 2009 the indigenous Brooklynite (name Devin Therriault), who cites Johnny Thunders and Iggy Pop as his most powerful influences, published his first tunes while operating his day work at a shipping and delivery warehouse, self-recording a demonstration immediately after. The demonstration reached Frenchkiss label founder Syd Butler, who recruited Devin towards the roster in fall 2011 and released Devin’s debut EP, You’re Mine, that November. Devin spent another few months composing songs for a complete recording and in Feb 2012 toured with difficult origins rockers Heartless Bastards. His debut LP, Romancing, showed up that April.
