Chicago’s Devil within a Woodpile has their very own brash country-rock, layering it with ragtime, sultry jazz, plus some nasty blues to create roots rock and roll an ever-changing genre in music. The earnest music group — frontman/multi-instrumentalist Rick “Cookin” Sherry, metal guitarist Paul K., and bassist Tom Ray — is actually on the market for the bloodstream, perspiration, and tears of earning quality music. Not really playing into commercial marketing, Devil within a Woodpile agreed upon with Bloodshot Information in the past due ’90s, launching their self-titled debut record in 1998. Their sophomore work, Division Road was issued 2 yrs later.
