Like many artists within the contemporary instrumental realm, Deuter mixes acoustic and electronic instruments, ethnic influences, and sounds from nature — just he’s been carrying it out because the early ’70s. Blessed within the German community of Falkenhagen, Deuter discovered flute and trained himself to try out electric guitar but was discouraged from seeking music being a profession. The trauma of the nearly fatal car crash in 1970, nevertheless, motivated him to go after his dreams. His 1st recording, D, premiered on Kuckuck in 1971. Over time, Deuter’s religious search has used him all over the world, especially to India, where he resided with an ashram, researched Indian music, and documented several albums. Within the middle ’80s he shifted to the united states, ultimately settling in Santa Fe, NM.
