Despistado was formed in later 2001 by way of a couple of Regina, Saskatchewan, natives who combated the bitter cool of the surroundings by light a fireplace of frenetic indie rock and roll that claimed just as much impact from Wire’s angularity since it did Modest Mouse’s quirkiness. Made up of vocalist/guitarist Dagan Harding, bassist Joel Passmore, drummer Brenan Schwartz, and guitarist Leif Thorseth, the Canadian quartet agreed upon to Jade Tree in early 2004, along with a late-spring tour alongside Figures led up to the launch of the EP The Crisis Response that June. It had been well-received, and following shows with rings just like the Weakerthans and mewithoutYou continuing to build expectation for his or her upcoming album. Nevertheless, rumors began growing late in the entire year that Despistado had been splitting up, and in January 2005, their label verified that all from the chat was indeed accurate; the guys performed their last display collectively that same month. Their only full-length, INDIVIDUALS of and Their Verses, posthumously made an appearance in Apr 2005 like a digital-only launch. Following a dissolution, Passmore flipped his attention completely to his part band, Sylvie.
