Desert Rose Band

A modern vehicle for country-rock pioneer Chris Hillman (ex-Byrds and Traveling Burrito Brothers), the Desert Rose Music group shaped in 1985 with principal songwriter Hillman in lead vocals, guitar, and mandolin. Various other members, culled generally from southern California program players, included banjoist/guitarist Supplement Pedersen, guitarist John Jorgenson, metal guitarist Jay Dee Maness, bassist Costs Bryson, and drummer Steve Duncan. Their initial one was a 1986 cover of Johnnie & Jack’s “Ashes of Appreciate,” which climbed in to the nation Best 30. Their self-titled debut record implemented in 1987 and spawned lots one strike in “He’s Back again and I’m Blue,” plus two even more Best Tens in “Appreciate Reunited” and “One STEP OF PROGRESS.” 1988’s Working produced the main smash “I Still Have confidence in You,” the quantity two “Summer months Breeze,” and the quantity three “She Don’t Like No one.” 1990’s Web pages of Lifestyle brought their last Top Ten strikes in “Tale of Like” and “Begin YET AGAIN.” Main personnel turnover implemented; Maness was changed by metal guitarist Tom Brumley, Jorgenson by guitarist Jeff Ross, and Duncan by drummer Tim Grogan. This lineup documented three albums — 1991’s REAL LOVE and two in 1993, Traditional and Lifestyle CONTINUES ON — but didn’t duplicate the achievement of the band’s initial incarnation. Following the Desert Rose Music group split up, Hillman and Natural herb Pedersen continuing to interact on the sporadic basis.
