Derek Brimstone

b. 29 August 1932, Islington, London, Britain. Having adopted classical guitar through the 50s Brimstone drifted in to the folk picture, and was nearly 30 years older before he sang appropriately for the very first time. There adopted a three-year amount of ‘ground places’ in folk night clubs around London, culminating inside a residency inside a Luton golf club. Appearing in the 1st Cambridge Folk Event in 1965, Brimstone was consequently presented in Melody Manufacturer. His design of blues and ragtime, performed on acoustic guitar, and sometimes banjo and piano, interspersed with details of humour, offers continued to demonstrate popular with viewers. Southern Music possess released two of his tutors;Easy Pickings 5-String Banjo (1967), andClawpicking Acoustic guitar Made Easy (1968). After over 25 years on the highway he has decreased his live shows and only sometimes tours.
