Dennis Brain

Few instrumentalists from the 20th century did even more to determine a single role for a musical instrument than Dennis Brain. By age group 36, he previously helped restore the four Mozart and two Strauss horn concertos towards the repertory; motivated Hindemith, Britten, among others to create for his device; and generally arranged the typical for 20th hundred years horn soloists. Created in 1921, Mind was raised inside a London horn-playing family members. Both his dad, Aubrey Mind, and his uncle performed professionally, as do their dad, Alfred Mind Sr., himself the boy of the horn participant. (His other sibling, Leonard, was a mentioned oboist.)
