SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA jazz vocalist Denine Monet became enraptured with music young when she heard the noises of Dave Brubeck, Erroll Garner, Stan Kenton, and Lionel Hampton via her parents’ stereo system, which led to Monet taking classical piano lessons until age 12. By her twenties, Monet was penning her personal music lyrics, and after getting both Shirley Horn and Carmen McRae perform in the North Ocean Festival, was influenced to spotlight singing. This result in performances through the entire San Fran Bay Region, as a single act so when a part-time person in the most common Suspects as well as the Alan Early Quartet, furthermore to documenting tasks with violinist Sarah Bernstein and sax participant David Berson. In June of 2001, Orchard Information released Monet’s debut documenting, Lady Bird.
