Demick & Armstrong

Former people of Screaming Lord Sutch’s backup music group, Pole Demick and Herbie Armstrong continued to interact following leaving the English satirist/rock and roll & roller’s group in 1971. Billing themselves as Demick & Armstrong, both instrumentalists became a member of with keyboardist David Watkins, vocalist Gordon Smith, and drummers Tony Knight and Henry Spinetti to record two amazing albums — Small Willie Ramble and Searching Through — before disbanding in 1973. Although they briefly reunited with Kenny Youthful as Yellow Pet, the glory times of their collaboration were past. North Wales-born and Belfast-raised Demick and Ireland-born Armstrong had been veteran sidemen if they fulfilled in Britain in the first ’70s. Originally a guitarist, Demick honed his build as an associate of teenage skiffle music group the Vibros, afterwards referred to as the Telstars. Signing up for a Belfast-based R&B music group, the Tires, in 1963, he continued to be using the group if they relocated to Britain two years afterwards. After turning down an invitation to become listed on Morrison’s new music group, Them, he shaped the Tires with ex-members from the Golden Eagles.
