Delia Gonzalez

Best known being a musician on her behalf cooperation with Gavin Russom, Delia Gonzalez can be a performance musician and sculptor. After she shifted from Miami to NY in the middle-’90s, she fulfilled Russom while employed in the city’s underground dance and movie theater picture. The duo’s DFA singles and 2005 record, THE TIMES of Mars, gained critical acclaim because of their innovative mixture of home and kosmische affects. This year 2010, Gonzalez made a decision to focus on her great arts profession, including that year’s media present In Remembrance. Incorporating visuals from 16mm ballet dance movies and single piano compositions motivated by the ideas of spiritual instructor George Gurdjieff, it debuted on the Galleria Fonti in Naples, Italy. She added even more films towards the piece for the 2012 exhibition I HAVE TO Stop Right here and extended it again to get a 2013 exhibition at NY City’s Clocktower Gallery. This edition of the task featured efforts from music artists Alice Cohen and Bryce Hackford, whom Gonzalez fulfilled through shared friend Viktor Timofeev. Hackford also supplied remixes from the show’s four piano-based compositions for the 2015 DFA record In Remembrance. In 2017, DFA released Horse Comes after Darkness, Gonzalez’s go back to digital composition. The record was motivated by her relocation back again to America after hanging out in Berlin, in addition to American Western movies.
