Delia Derbyshire Appreciation Society

Called in tribute to 1 of the main element members from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Delia Derbyshire Understanding Culture are an ambient duo comprising Uk musician Garry Hughes and New York-based Harvey Jones. Both performers are music sector veterans. Hughes provides performed keyboards for many performers including Björk, Sly & Robbie, as well as the Artwork of Sound, released two single albums in the 1980s, and co-founded Bombay Dub Orchestra in 2001. Jones spent some time working thoroughly with Chris Botti and Gabrielle Roth & the Mirrors, and made an appearance on recordings offering Carla Bley, Sting, and Robert Fripp. Both have been close friends because the 1980s, but DDAS is normally their first task together.
