Del Wood

Del Timber was one of the better female music artists in the annals of nation music and something from the few to create it big performing the piano. Her best-known tune is certainly her novelty edition of “Down Yonder,” which strike both the nation and pop graphs in 1951. In addition, it gained her a yellow metal record along with a guest-starring appearance in the Grand Ole Opry. In 1952, she joined up with the Opry and continued to be therefore until her loss of life in 1989. Timber was created Polly Adelaide Hendricks in Nashville, Tennessee and started playing the piano at age group five. Her stage name was made by combining section of her middle name with section of her wedded name (Hazelwood). Although she just had one strike, Wood documented many albums during her longer career.
