English indie singer/songwriter Declan McKenna 1st emerged in 2014 using the shimmering, politically billed solitary “Brazil.” The teenaged Hertfordshire indigenous only had a small number of self-released songs to his name, having published these to his Bandcamp web page. With an attitude recalling the Libertines and Jamie T., McKenna combined shiny indie pop with textural lo-fi. As “Brazil” obtained grip throughout 2015, McKenna’s celebrity started to rise, which summer he required house the Glastonbury Festival’s desired Emerging Talent reward. His follow-up solitary, “Paracetamol,” found its way to November 2015.
