Among the finest (and among the hardly any) jazz harpists in the globe, Deborah Henson-Conant combines storytelling and vocals in her entertaining display. She performed piano from age group ten, and began doubling on harp when she was 13. It became her primary device while in university and, although classically qualified, she also loved improvising. In 1982, she started significantly playing jazz and the next year began amplifying her harp. In 1989, Henson-Conant was authorized to GRP and she documented three well-received recordings. She continued to tour the globe, and record for Laika (a Western organization) and her personal White Cat organization.
