Death of Samantha

Motivated by hometown heroes Pere Ubu, Cleveland’s Loss of life of Samantha attempted avant-new wave punk through the mid-’80s, but shifted to more straight-ahead alternative rock and roll later on in the decade. Shaped by vocalist/guitarist John Petkovic, guitarist Doug Gillard, and drummer Steve-O, the group documented several singles because of their own label, after that debuted on Homestead in 1986 with Strungout on Jargon. Following the release of the EP afterwards that year, Loss of life of Samantha was silent for nearly two years; the discharge of Where in fact the Females Use the Glory in 1988 demonstrated the trio embracing even more components of ’50s rock and roll. Arrive All Ye Faithless made an appearance one year afterwards, and the music group dissolved.
