Dead Rider

Dead Rider is usually an extremely experimental 21st century rock and roll and funk music group from Chicago, Illinois. Their rhythm-driven audio has been affected by everyone from Captain Beefheart to Big Dark to the first noises of Chicago’s Polish Trax Records, aswell as the Butthole Surfers. The group was founded in ’09 2009 as D. Rider by guitarist and vocalist Todd Rittman, previously of U.S. Maple. The lineup included Noah Tabakin (saxophone), Andrea Faught (key pad, trumpet), and Theo Katsaounis (drums). Their debut recording, Mom of Curses, made an appearance from Tizona in ’09 2009 and was well-received critically, as was their interesting live show. Amid documenting their follow-up for the label, Katsaounis still left the music group and was changed by Matt Espy this year 2010. Both drummers are acknowledged on 2011’s Fresh Dents. Somewhere within the two information, the band transformed its name to Inactive Rider due to the fact Rittman was sick and tired of getting asked the actual “D.” stood for. In 2013, the group agreed upon to Drag Town. Their third providing, Chills on Cup, premiered in March of 2014.
