Deceased Red Sea is really a Baltimore, MA-based indie rock and roll outfit whose extra, melancholy emocore design borrows not merely from Midwestern hardcore, but additionally from blues, and also nation. The group’s exclusive full-length album, Wild birds, premiered by Deep Elm Information in 2001. The music group, which include vocalist and guitarist Ryan Shelkett, Rhodes pianist (and sometime drummer) Charles Cole, bassist Alan Randall, and drummer (and sometime Rhodes pianist) Buck Holk, can be an emo supergroup of types; Shelkett once fronted Mix My Center, while Randall was an associate of Wrong Switch, and Holk spent amount of time in Third Harmonic Distortion. Deceased Red Sea documented their debut, Parrots (with Darron Keen on drums), in November of 2000 at Baltimore’s ACR Studios with documenting engineer Craig Bowen and authorized a cope with Deep Elm, which released the recording in 2001.
