De la Tierra

De La Tierra can be an all-star Latin-heavy steel supergroup whose audio walks the series between death steel and hook-laden hard rock and roll. The band is certainly made up of guitarist Andreas Kisser of Sepultura, bassist Sr. Flavio from Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, drummer Alex González of Mana, and guitarist Andrés Giménez, previous leader of the.N.We.M.A.L. Everybody sings. Although band’s specific roots are relatively murky, all associates agree that the theory for the group started using a backstage discussion between González and Giménez in 2006. In 2011, while on tour, the set met again, this time around for dinner, as well as the set acquired a formal debate about developing a music group — a power trio. Giménez, nevertheless, preferred another guitarist and approached Kisser via email. He responded instantly with: “I am the band’s guitarist.” After rehearsing whenever their schedules allowed, the music group produced and documented its self-titled debut record in Buenos Aires, Guadalajara, Sao Paulo, and LA, its lyrics completely in Spanish or Portuguese. Their initial one and video, “Maldita Historia,” was released by Roadrunner in November of 2013, accompanied by the eponymous full-length in January. The next year noticed the music group perform on the Rock and roll in Rio celebration. Their aptly called sophomore studio record, II, slipped in November, 2016.
