Among the Flemish rock and roll scene’s most enduringly popular rings, business lead vocalist Walter Grootaers, guitarists Jan Truck Eyken and Eric Wauters, bassist Berre Bergen (afterwards replaced by Axl Peleman), and drummer Ben Crabbe formed De Kreuners in 1978, the same calendar year they won Humo’s Rock and roll Rally Competition. After putting your signature on to Warner Bros in 1981, they released their first studio room record, Nachts Kouder Dan Buiten, but attained their biggest achievement in 1990 with Hier en Nu and its own million-selling one “Ik Wil Je.” After two farewell displays in their indigenous Belgium, the group known as it per day in 2012.
