After his battles with depression and alcoholism triggered him to portion ways with Of Mice & Men in 2012, Shayley Bourget was an artist seeking to get control of his personal life. Ultimately wanting to go back to music, he installed with drummer Raul Martinez for a few low-pressure jamming, but rather, a new task, DayShell, was created. Composed of Bourget and Martinez, along with bassist Jordan Wooley, the group’s audio feels as though an updated undertake rings like Helmet and Deftones, merging the scraping heaviness from the progress-extreme audio with Bourget’s soaring clean vocals. The sound, that your band debuted using its initial single, “Tell Me,” got the interest of Sumerian Information, which snapped DayShell up and released their eponymous debut in 2013. In early 2016, DayShell still left Sumerian and inked a cope with Spinefarm, which would continue to place out their sophomore discharge, Nexus, in Oct of that season.
