NJ indie rockers Trip to the Good burst onto the picture in 2004 making use of their blistering five-track EP Prelude. That they had previously released the record No Lighting Over Weldon in 2002, which brought these to the eye of Springman Information, the label that after that released these EP. The quartet — made up of drummer Steve Weir, bass participant Todd Maisano, guitarist Rob Heiner, and vocalist Chris Barker, the last mentioned two previously of Lanemeyer — teamed up with companies John Naclario (Ataris, Matchbook Love) and Chris Badami (Early November) the next year to finish Rocking Seat Years, a hard-driving, genre-bending burst of teenage nostalgia and drunken intelligence that strike the streets in-may 2005 via Rushmore Information. Tour schedules with rings like Fenix TX and Houston Phone calls followed prior to the music group announced its break up in the springtime of 2006.
