Dawn Golden is a single outlet for Homes’ Dexter Tortoriello — a means for the musician to enjoy inspirations which range from doom steel to sound while building downcast, fogged-out music that involve warped consumer electronics and heavily treated equipment. Tortoriello’s initial Dawn Golden discharge, an Apr 2011 EP entitled Blow, was officially acknowledged to Dawn Golden & Rosy Combination and released on Mad Decent/Downtown. Afterward, Tortoriello transferred from Chicago to LA and resolved into Diplo’s Mad Decent studio room. During the period of 3 years, Tortoriello created the deeply personal and isolated Still Existence, which was released in-may 2014.
