Dawgs

Don’t make an effort to pigeonhole Toronto-based quartet, the Dawgs. Having a repertoire that spans the entire history of rock and roll, and carries a mixture of cover and initial rock and roll, R&B and pop music, the group isn’t easily categorized. Shaped in the springtime of 1994, the Dawgs documented a three tune demonstration in early 1995. On the effectiveness of their guitar powered sound and restricted vocal harmonies, the demonstration was welcomed by Toronto’s r / c, which started playing the infectious melody, “AN IMPROVED Guy”. Aided with a offer from F.A.C.T.O.R. (Base to Helps Canadian Skill On Record), the Dawgs documented their debut record, Are You There, in early 1998. The quartet’s sound was improved by Hammond B-3 body organ and piano participant Dave Murphy and harmonica participant, Roly Platt. The Dawgs perform frequently at Toronto night clubs like the Chick’n Deli as well as the St. Louis Club & Grill.
