Davina

With her smoky, but smooth, vocals, Davina (delivered: Davina Bussey) has advanced quickly towards the upper echelon of Detroit’s pop music. Her 1997 debut recording, Greatest Of Both Worlds, included the strike song, “SO EXCELLENT”, that was presented in Laurence Fishburne and Tim Roth’s film, Hoodlum. The sister of the piano participant, Davina analyzed the rudiments of music theory, songwriting, posting, producing, executive and owning a record label. Inside a 2001 interview, she described her goals as “performing about existence…and how everything originates from life; love, intimate energy, religious energy.”
