Davila 666

Explaining themselves as want “Menudo on medicines,” San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Davila 666 combine Stooges-like garage area rock flames with the casual sugary pop melody. The seven — not really six, remarkably — Davilas consist of singer/tambourine participant Sir Charles, multi-instrumentalist AJ, guitarists/vocalists Miss Davila and Johnny Otis, drummer/guitarist/vocalist San Pablo, percussionist/vocalist Panda, and guitarist/drummer/vocalist Gigi. Their theatrical live display — which include themes, props, outfits, and dancers — earned them fans in the us if they toured using the Dark Lips as well as the Ruler Khan & BBQ Display. Davila 666’s self-titled U.S. debut premiered in summer season 2008 via In debt Information. After a relatively quiet year in ’09 2009, the music group came back solid this year 2010, liberating an EP on Rob’s Home Information and singles on Norton (within the Rolling Rocks’ “She’s a Rainbow”) and Vice (a break up using the Dirtbombs). In 2011 the band’s second recording, Tan Bajo, strike the racks; the group also cut a live EP for Jack port White’s Third Guy Information while touring america in support. In 2014, Davila 666 gathered many out of printing singles and EPs in to the compilation recording Poco Añoperating-system, Muchos Dañoperating-system.
