David Tickle

While most widely known for his use Prince, maker and engineer David Tickle first earned see during the fresh wave period, typically together with Fresh Zealand rings including Split Enz (1979’s True Colours and 1981’s Waiata [Corroboree]) as well as the Swingers (1979’s Practical Jokers). His use Prince started in 1984, when he combined a lot of the materials which comprised the landmark Crimson Rain LP.
