A top program guitarist because the ’70s, David T. Walker hasn’t been an up-front soloist or flashy stylist. But his tempo guitar and constant timekeeping skills have already been noticed on classes by numerous performers. The list contains Marvin Gaye, Pharaoh Sanders, Aretha Franklin, Barry White colored, LeVert, Bobbi Humphrey, Johnny Bristol, Leon Ware, Stephanie Mills, as well as the Crusaders. Walker’s documenting forays under his personal name experienced mixed achievement; his 1976 LP On Like was made by Crusaders Joe Test and Wilton Felder, but wasn’t extremely memorable. Walker offers continued documenting across the years, however, and in to the 21st hundred years with albums released in Japan, including 2008’s Thoughts and this year’s 2009 vacation outing Put on My Love.
