Among the consultant lyricists from the Golden Age group of Brazilian tune, David Nasser, in his 27 many years of popular music, had companions want Heitor Villa-Lobos, Ary Barroso (in the unrecorded “Largo carry out Boticário”), Radamés Gnattali, Francisco Alves, Custódio Mesquita, Ataulfo Alves, Sílvio Caldas, Herivelto Martins, Wilson Batista, Nelson Gonçalves, Donga, Nássara, Haroldo Lobo, Joubert de Carvalho, Alcir Pires Vermelho, and many more. He had achievement with “Confete” (with Jota Júnior), documented by Francisco Alves in 1952 and re-recorded many times, “Serpentina” (with Haroldo Lobo), documented by Nelson Gonçalves in 1949, “Coroa Perform Rei” (documented by Dircinha Batista in 1949, was one of the primary hits from the Carnival of 1950), “Charrete Macia”, “Alô, Alô, América” (with Haroldo Lobo), and “Esmagando Rosas” (with Alcir Pires Vermelho), both documented by Francisco Alves in 1942, “Alô Tio Sam” (with Haroldo Lobo), documented with the Quatro Ases e Um Coringa in 1943, “Rasguei Meu Pierrô” (documented by Francisco Alves in 1948), “Normalista,” “Carlos Gardel,” “Hoje Quem Paga Sou European union,” “Fim De Ano,” “Mamãe,” and many others. He composed a lot more than ten books, many of them getting biographies of performers he knew individually, like Carmen Miranda and Francisco Alves. He was also an effective journalist. At 13, he begun to just work at the O Jornal paper. He also proved helpful in the O Cruzeiro mag and paper O Globo, until he composed lyrics for his initial tune at 18, the samba “Chorei Quando O Dia Clareou” (music by Nelson Teixeira). The tune, provided by an amateur on the Rádio Mayrink Veiga, became successful and was documented afterwards by Araci de Almeida. The next tune was “Candeeiro” (music by Child Pepe), documented by Carmen Miranda. “Canta Brasil” (with Alcir Pires Vermelho), documented by Francisco Alves, was successful in 1940 and his biggest strike ever. Among the classics of Brazilian well-known music, “Nega Perform Cabelo Duro” (with Rubens Soares), was documented with the Anjos Perform Inferno and was the big strike from the Carnival of 1942.
